[ OVERVIEW ]Canonical, the global technology company behind Ubuntu, sought to establish a London base that reflected their international presence while serving the needs of a predominantly remote workforce. The brief called for a 10,000 sq. ft. CAT B fit-out at 3 More London, delivered under a JCT Traditional contract.
The space was to function as both a business briefing centre and a welcoming home for employees visiting the office — a place that fosters connection, collaboration, and creativity. Canonical wanted a setting that felt less like a traditional corporate space and more like a boutique hospitality environment, where technology and comfort coexist seamlessly.

Design
We created a workplace that blends comfort, flexibility, and connection for Canonical’s predominantly remote team. Drawing inspiration from hospitality, the space offers a calm, refined aesthetic with natural materials and warm lighting to foster belonging and collaboration.
Technology
A fully integrated AV system and dedicated live-streaming suite enable seamless global communication. The space functions as a true business hub, supporting live events, digital meetings, and real-time collaboration across continents.
Collaboration
Multi-use zones and breakout areas encourage interaction and adaptability. These spaces reflect Canonical’s agile culture, giving teams the freedom to connect, innovate, and work where they feel most inspired.
Craftsmanship
Bespoke Japanese Kumiko panelling adds texture, serenity, and acoustic balance. This handcrafted detail exemplifies Canonical’s precision and quality, bringing artistry and calm to a contemporary, tech-enabled environment.
